Look Into All Your Options For Easy Student Loans

Easy Student Loans

If you are looking into getting money for college, you are probably interested in any easy student loans you can find.

The problem with easy and quick student loans is that they aren't always the best ones in the long run.

Any federal loan you can get is always more advantageous for you because you are dealing with low, fixed interest rates, but they are not necessarily easy to get. With so many applicants across the country, some federal loans are reserved for students who can show extreme financial need, leaving the others for everyone to compete for. Getting an unsubsidized stafford loan or PLUS loan for example, are options but they may not cover all your costs if you are approved at all, and the money and approval process is not very quick.

When looking for a fast student loan, you are usually looking at private loans. A private student loan is done directly through a bank or lending institution, and it is much like taking out any other loan. To get these student loans for college though, you need to have a considerably good credit rating, otherwise you should consider using a co-signer.

Even if you get approved on your own, having a co-signer could mean getting a lower interest rate. You can even apply for some private loans online and get an immediate pre-approval. Loan plans like The Academic Answer Loan from Sun Trust can get money to you in as little as 48 hours.

To get quick money though, you do have some other options. If you are already enrolled in school and find you need money for an emergency, you can get a university student loan from your financial aid office. They are short term loans of smaller denominations, but if you plead your case to them, you could get enough to cover what you need, and their interest rates are also reasonable enough.

Your other option should be a last resort, since it comes with much higher interest rates (15-30% instead of 85). It is called the Pay Day Loan, and you are only eligible if you have a job. You don't need to show your credit rating, but you need a pay stub to apply, and again you can get your money in 24 hours or sometimes less. You really should only do this though if you know your next pay cheque will cover your payment since interest rates are so high.

Easy student loans sound nice, but they often come attached to high interest rates and stricter conditions. They should be considered in an emergency only and for smaller amounts; not your entire tuition. If you organize yourself properly, you will have the time to go through federal options first, which can save you a lot of money, so budget your time and you can avoid the price tag hanging off the easy solution. Afterall, nothing good comes easy.
